Before work begins
These terms establish the standard working framework. Your quotation controls the final scope, deliverables and payment schedule for your project.
A 50% deposit secures the booking and authorises work to begin. Materials and outsourced services must be paid in full in advance. Larger range-development projects may use staged payments of 50% deposit, 25% after the first sample or fitting, and 25% before final release.
A brief initial enquiry and quotation are free. Detailed advice, fit analysis, technical guidance, range planning and development meetings are chargeable.
The minimum job charge is R350. Professional garment-pattern development starts from approximately R650, depending on complexity.
Fittings are available by appointment. The location is confirmed when the project is booked. Initial meetings may be arranged in central Cape Town or the southern suburbs where practical.
Remote clients submit briefs, measurements, sketches, photographs and reference documents digitally. Scope and quotation are confirmed before work begins. Progress, technical questions and approvals are handled by email or WhatsApp.
Courier, postage, packaging, delivery and collection costs are excluded unless specifically stated. The client arranges and pays for transport. Risk during transit remains with the client and courier.
Quotations remain valid for 14 calendar days. Pricing and availability may be revised after expiry.
Enquiries are normally answered within one to two business days. Urgent deadlines must be declared in the initial enquiry and remain subject to availability.
Pattern Alchemy provides pattern development, grading, technical packs, fit correction, sampling support and consultancy. It does not offer bulk manufacturing or CMT production.
